FPGA Design Services

FPGA Designs - Verien can start with your specification or work
with you to define your FPGA. Our proven verification methodology will
ensure success in a timely fashion.

High Performance Designs - With direct design experience at clock
rates of 100, 133, 160 and 200 MHz, we know how to achieve timing
closure for your design. See our

Cost Sensitive Designs - We've designed cost-sensitive consumer level
products, products that have shipped over 100,000 units, and
products that have shipped in the 100's. There are applications where
pennies count, and applications where a higher cost allocated for
future expansion is prudent.

Communications and Networking Designs - Verien has experience in digital audio
networking equipment (S/PDIF or AES/EBU (AES3), AES10 (MADI))
operating at 125 Mbits/sec, proprietary links operating at 500
Mbits/sec over copper with hardware data link layer, and 1.2 Gbits/sec
links over fibre, Controller
Area Network (CAN), I2C, as well as high
performance VoIP processing solutions. Verien also designed the
board-level physical interfaces for most of these products.

DSP Designs - Verien has designed many image processing systems
including digital and infrared cameras, CAT scan and ultrasound
processing chips, and other DSP-oriented applications. DSP designs
can be either Matlab/Simulink with System Generator or HDL based
methodologies.

Embedded Designs - We have embedded systems experience using a
number of processor and DSP solutions: PowerPC (including Virtex-5
embedded PowerPC440), Microblaze, MIPS, TI TMS54x, TMS64x,
ADSP21XX, SHARC, AMD Geode, 68K, x86, and the Picoblaze FPGA
embedded microcontroller.
Analog Design Services

Analog Designs -
Verien has experience designing analog subsystems for a wide variety
of products including medical electronics (CT and ultrasound
scanners), power, instrumentation, audio, industrial, sensor and
scientific applications.

Data Acquisition -
Verien has design experience with high resolution (18-24 bit) data
acquisition systems, and signal amplification and conditioning for
these systems.

Power Subsystem Design -
Verien has experience with a wide variety of power supply designs at
power levels up to 50 kW and voltages up to 200 kV.

Industrial and Instrumentation Design -
Experience includes measurement and control of temperature, humidity,
pressure, weight, mass, flow, magnetic field strength, X-ray
detection, voltage, current and power. Applications include digital
scales, panel instrumentation, temperature control, machine control,
and environmental applications.

Medical Electronics -
Verien has proven designs in the areas of CT and ultrasound scanners,
fetal monitors, and other applications.

Safety, EMC and Compliance -
Verien has experience with safety circuits, electromagnetic
compatibility and compliance with UL, FDA, GMP, FCC, IEC, CISPR, NIST
and other agency requirements.

Electronic Packaging -
Verien can assist you with cost-effective packaging designs for
prototypes, small production runs and large scale production.
Experienced with mechanical, aesthetic, ergonomic, safety, thermal,
economic and environmental requirements of packaging.
Board Design Services

Board-Level Design Services - Verien has provided board-level
designs for products ranging from 30 components to 1000 components.
Past examples include mixed signal designs with isolated power and ground
schemes, gigabit high-speed differential pairs, A/D and D/A converters,
power supplies, and with many other design specifics.

Turnkey Board Services - In addition to board-level design
services, Verien can provide layout, fabrication,
component procurement, assembly using partner services, and debug in
our lab.
