Verien Design Group is a hardware design consulting company founded and run by
Dave Matthews. Dave has over 25 years of experience designing working products, and as an
instructor, has taught dozens of engineers the art of FPGA and ASIC design using Hardware
Description Languages.
To complement Dave's digital design skills, he is joined by
veterans Geoff Legg and Ben Klass. Geoff brings over 35 years of analog
electronics design experience. His expertise includes
instrumentation, data acquisition, power, motion control, sensors,
EMC, safety and regulatory compliance.

Ben Klass brings a decade of experience in the design of FPGAs and
ASICs for the machine vision and image processing industries. Ben
also served for years as a support engineer for Altera - both directly and as a liason between
Japanese companies and Altera utilizing his proficiency in the
Japanese language.

Our Design Methodology
At Verien we aim for zero lab debug time and often
achieve it. Using a proprietary suite of simulation
testbenches, quickly customized for the end application, we
perform simulation test at a very high level. This provides
a more thorough test and minimizes the total amount of test
